Yang Yang, with a self-effacing demeanour, hints that a passion for fashion is not uncommon in this day and age. Maybe that's why the graduate in international business felt that there was nothing more enjoyable for her to do than get into the fashion world by opening her first boutique in 2006.
“It’s really a passion, I care deeply about it,” Yang explains, “probably because it’s so much fun! With an understanding of the business behind it, isn’t it an easy enough choice to do what you love?”
Yang’s work as a buyer for her Saint-Laurent location, as well as her second location in Montreal’s Les Cours Mont-Royal, ensures that she can be attentive to customers’ tastes all along her supply chain. “The Plateau-Mont-Royal tends to have a very rustic, vintage type of look,” she explains, “while our downtown customers may go for a more young professional feel. But I think we’ve been successful in both locations because I pay close enough attention to bring in new, smaller or younger designers that may not have made it to Montreal before.”
This summer, I visited Montreal & stayed in Marriott. Found this mall closed by, yes no surprise as it is a standard well-structured big mall. Good to see one unique boutique (sorry can't remember the name) selling various beautiful items. I made my day to get many lovely gift for my family & friends. I hope to see more "different" stores for fun shopping!Read more
