When Christy Stone-Curry opened The Piano Café in 2002, she had a cozy coffee shop in mind. Today she still serves coffees, but The Piano Café has grown into a 100-seat lunch restaurant with a private dining room for up to 12 people and a 25-seat patio.
Located at the main cross roads in pretty Port Perry, the restaurant has become something of a Port Perry hub with a clientele made up of both visitors and loyal locals. “It’s kind of like a 'ladies who lunch' place,” says Christy. “I’m the lead chef of a team who all have culinary backgrounds. I am the business person, but love the cooking.”

What a treat we had in Port Perry after a couple of hours out on the water. The main dining room was full so we were shown a table in a private room which we had all to ourselves. Both the service and the food was excellent. The owner, Christie, was friendly and down to earth making us feel very welcome. A couple of us had food restrictions which were easily accommodated. The homemade ice cream was a exceptional way to end a delicious lunch. I’ll definitely go back!
Really nice fresh homemade food. A great lunch stop.
I have dined at the Piano Cafe many times but this was our first time on the patio. The lattice fences provide seclusion while allowing light to flow in. It was a beautiful day for the patio, but you can't go wrong inside either. I love the gorgeous wooden floors. The walls are lined with interesting and beautiful artwork from local artists . I had the Pear, Goat Cheese and Carmelized Walnut Sald with chicken. It was delicious.I would highly recommend and will be returning many more times.
I had relatives visiting so we went over to Port Perry and we stopped for lunch at my favourite restaurant there - The Piano Cafe. And we had a wonderful dining experience! We dined on their new patio - just lovely! Our food was nutritious, delicious and attractively presented..The staff is very pleasant, hard working and conscientious. Service is quick and the staff is quite attentive. The owner checked with us, as she always does, to make sure that we were pleased with our meal. My relatives were impressed as I knew they would be. The Piano Cafe always delivers.. Well done, once again, Piano Cafe! I'll be back!
All in all, a great place to eat!! The food, service, and atmosphere was just terrific!! Will definately be back, as soon as possible!! I have a few food sensitivities and the staff/owner were very helpful and accomodating. They even have a 'gluten free' menu! How great (and rare) is that!
