I've been here many times and always have a good meal. Prince Albert's is one of the few diners in London and the kitschy memorabilia gives the place a degree of personality. The worn out floor floor and torn up seating, on the other hand, give it an entirely different personality. On balance, I'd say the run down appearance outweighs the small-diner charm. Service is average. They have a nice menu with everything from cheeseburgers and clubs to perogies and fajitas. It's good diner food. The milkshakes are excellent. Typically a young crowd, but I've been here many times with my family. Recommended.
I have been going to Prince Alberts off and on for many years. yeasterdays experience made me resolve to go on average once a month the atmosphere is still the same and the food is amazing.

So, I loved this place. The food is ridiculously cheap, the music is loud, and the service is (usually) fantastic. I went with a friend to grab a quick drink one evening. I ordered a bud, and the waitress rudely said, "that's IT?" as if I was completely out of line to not order food. She then asked for some ID. I gave her my health card, and she instantly threw it back at me, explaining that 'they don't accept health cards.' I am obviously over 19. I told her it was fine, even thought they've always accepted my health card there, but apparently this woman didn't care. She kept staring at me like I was some underage kid, and being rude to my friend, who is older than me. I was going to order a coke or something instead, but instead we walked out. I understand that you have legal obligations, but there's no need to be rude about it. Especially to a patron that visits once a week. I haven't been back since, though. If that woman doesn't work there anymore, I will go back.
People need to keep in mind while eating here, this is a fast food diner. I go for lunch on occasion and love it. The servers and cooking staff get your food to you fast. They aren't the friendliest bunch but they aren't UNfriendly, if that makes any sense. It's a typoical diner atmosphere. It's awesome.
