This downtown pub has great food and drink options and daily specials that are unbeatable. They are fairly involved with event sponsorships and promotions such as the Edmonton City Chase 2010 and have many options for private tables/rooms for parties. Also have a great patio set-up and friendly staff. Just off Jasper Ave on 109th Street is a great location to visit any time of their hours of operation.
Their somewhat chaotic menu makes things a little easier by letting diners know how to make some of their items gluten-free. For example, their list of 40 flavours of wings denotes which sauces are gluten-free – seven pepper, sweet chili, red hot, extra hot, honey mustard, maple, salt and pepper, garlic, and parmesan and herb all qualify. Their tacos can be made with corn tortillas, while the Asian lettuce wraps are A-OK, as long as you order them with sweet chili sauce. You can even get a gluten-free bun for your burger, for an extra $2.
Calling all horror movie film buffs! On Oct. 31, The Pint downtown hosts a special edition Halloween movie trivia night. It all starts at 8 p.m. with three rounds of questions. So get your team together, lock down a killer group costume and head to The Pint to test your knowledge. There will be a featured cocktail menu for the evening and a $100 cash prize for the best costume. And don’t worry – even if you blow it, the lowest scoring team of the night also wins a prize.
This pub is serving a home-style comfort dish: Beef stew. It comes with Yukon gold potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and a cob of corn with heaps of butter, obviously.
