Ethik-BGC is a social economy project developed by FEM International. Ethik-BGC provides retail space, event support, and business resources to new and established designers.
Ethik-BGC boutique owes its beginnings to a social economy project run by the organization FEM International. It opened in 2009, and from the beginning, the goal was clear: to promote fair fashion from Montreal and elsewhere by offering customers ethical and ecological products in a multi-functional and inspiring space. Lis Suarez has been hard at work on this mission since 2010, when she joined this far-from-ordinary initiative.
More than just a boutique, Ethik-BGC functions as a fair fashion incubator, the first of its kind in Canada. The letters BGC represent the shop's multiple functions: Boutique, Gallery and Centre of business.
Located on Rue St-Hubert, the boutique showcases products from over 50 designers. There's also a vintage section, which makes it possible to offer customers a wider range of prices and products, while upholding the mission to promote ethical and ecological fashion in Montreal.
