When I read this quote, I thought, 'Here's a woman who didn't wallow in self-pity, victimhood, and didn't let her past dictate her present and ultimately, her future'. Life has its challenges. No one is immune! How you react to the challenges in your life is what shapes your present and future. It's not about who did what to you, who said what about you, how you were brought up, life circumstances .... It's about choosing healing for yourself. I've had struggles and challenges and still do. Life wasn't and isn't always easy. Heck, I got thrown a few lemons and threw a few myself. But when life throws you lemons, you make lemonade. One soul at a time!
