Since opening in 2005, Mission Eye Care has been one of Calgary's most caring and reliable sources of high-end eye care. Extremely well-qualified optometrists and optometric assistants put this eye care centre at the top of the list for any eye issue that may arise.
Owner and optometrist Dr. Riaz Ahmed, for example, specializes in treating dry eyes and corneal diseases. He is passionate about producing real results when dealing with his patient's problems. He has worked on specializing his clinic so that his team can truly change the lives of patients with chronically dry eyes.
"We live in one of the driest cities on the planet," he explains. "We quickly realized that our patients were not getting satisfactory results elsewhere and we made it our mission to excel in this area. We now have a dedicated dry eye clinic that provides specialty care to dry-eye sufferers.
Dr. Ahmed also explains that Mission Eye Care is the primary centre in Calgary for specialty contact lens fittings for patients with corneal disease. “One of our doctors is Calgary's only residency-trained and fellowship-credentialed doctors of optometry in this field."
